Island Meadows Forage Company represents the value-added forage business of a progressive farm operation, DGS Farms, in West Point Prince Edward Island, Canada. The farm has been producing potatoes, forage and grains for over 25 years and established Island Meadows to focus on the development of a healthier and more nutritious form of haylage for livestock and horses.

Traditional dried hay can be hard to sufficiently dry and is often the vector for dust and mould induced respiratory problems in horses. Island Meadows' branded haylage, Winter Grass reflects extensive scientific testing and product development to provide one of the healthiest dust free forage products on the market. Winter Grass is highly compressed in 20kg bags and is sealed for shelf stability of over a year.

Prince Edward Island produces some of the best quality hay in the world. Ideal growing conditions, combined with an advantageous hay rotational crop ensures that Winter Grass will meet the highest standards for product quality.
